Give us some fried chicken legs and you can find P and I hopping all over the place, licking and devouring till the final bone!!! We love eating messy when it comes to a Chicken leg 😛 As a kid, I used to quarrel with my younger sister for getting this piece whenever Mom made chicken at home or when Dad brought in some packed food.
Chicken legs make a delicious entrée whether it is fried, breaded or marinated. Serve them at a gathering, it appeals to almost everyone.
This recipe also consists of adding little sauce that makes the drumsticks lip-smacking delicious.
Chicken legs- 2, Yogurt – 2tsp, Chili powder – 2tsp, Pepper powder – 1tsp, Ginger Garlic paste – 1tsp, Lemon Juice – 2tsp, Turmeric powder- a pinch, Onions – 1/2 sliced into circles, Salt to taste, Cumin powder – 1tsp, Coriander powder – 1/2tsp, Coconut Oil – 4 to 5tsp, Curry leaves – few, Tomato Sauce – 2tsp, Chili Sauce – 1tsp
Clean the chicken legs and make a small 4-5 slits on each leg piece. In a small bowl, add chili powder, salt, little turmeric and lemon juice to it and mix well to form a paste. Marinate the drumsticks stuffing the paste into the slits made. Keep aside for a few minutes.
In another bowl, add yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, pepper powder, salt, cumin powder, coriander powder and a tsp of oil. Mix well into a paste.
Marinate the leg pieces in this mixture and refrigerate it for a couple of hours.
Heat pan and add the remaining oil to it. Add the marinated chicken pieces and fry till almost done.
Add tomato sauce and chili sauce and mix well. Cook covered for ten minutes.
Garnish it with coriander leaves, onions, lemon wedges and the sauce left in the pan. Yuummmm!!!
