I am a Burger person unlike my hubby who craves for Pizzas. On this lazy Sunday evening, I thought of giving a try in making a burger though we have a McDonalds right next to our home. And believe me, it turned out good. Meanwhile, did I tell you, P had appeared for an exam last December. And yes, the results are out! He We will be moving out from Pune in a couple of months! Can't wait! Woohoo....but where? Oh, will let you know soon π
Meanwhile, this is a simple recipe. I will try and share a bit more complicated ones in the near future. π
Excuse me, for the less-appealing pic!
Ingredients:
500 gm grounded Chicken
Small Onion, 1 sliced in thin rounds
Garlic, 3 minced
Extra virgin Olive Oil, ΒΌ cup
Chopped parsley, ΒΌ cup
Cheese Slice, 4
Burger Buns, 2
Mayonnaise, ΒΌ cup
Lettuce Leaves 4
Tomatoes, 2 sliced in thin rounds
Method:
Keep aside, the cut onions and tomatoes.
InΒ a bowl, mix the grounded chicken, garlic, 2tsp of extra virgin olive oil and parsley toΒ form 4 patties out of it. I didn't have parsley. You can add finely chopped coriander leaves to give a "desi" twist. I also added Chinese seasoning.
Heat the remaining oil in a skillet onΒ medium heat.Β Put the patties on the skillet and cook it for around 15 min or till golden.
Cut the burger buns into half. Spread some cheese inside it and cook it for 1min till the cheese is melted.
Spread a teaspoon each of mayonnaise on the bottom half of the buns.
Top it with lettuce, chicken patties, tomato slices and onion slices and cover it with the top half of bun.Β Serve hot and go yum!
Or double up the no: of patties and you have a winner!

i am a bad cook, so excuse my stupid queries. But, will the patty not split if there is nothing to bind it?

I thought so too. But it did stayed intact and I kept the round shape by patting it with a spatula once put in the skillet π
