Kerala Drumstick Fry

Ingredients

  • 5 drumsticks
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 tablespoon chilli powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon coriander powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • 2 dry red chillies
  • A sprig of curry leaves

Instructions

  1. Peel and cut the drumsticks in finger-length size.
  2. Cook in one cup of water, chili powder, turmeric powder and salt for about 15 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and add dry red chillies. Add curry leaves and coriander powder. Mix well.
  4. Add cooked drumsticks and mix. Saute for a couple of minutes, until almost fried.
  5. Serve hot with rice and rasam.
