- 3/4 cup finely diced carrot
- 1/2 cup fresh peas
- 3 cups cooked rice of your choice
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 cup finely sliced onions
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 Bay leaf
- 3 cloves
- 1 tsp garam masala powder
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan. Add Cumin seeds, cinnamon sticks, bayleaf and cloves.
- When it splutters, add onion. Sauté until cooked and light brown.
- Add carrots and Peas. Mix, cover and cook for about seven minutes. This will help the veggies to cook well.
- Add garam masala powder and Sauté for a few seconds.
- Add to the cooked rice and gently mix with the help of a fork.
- Serve hot with raita or a curry of your choice.
