I’m so glad that you stopped by to take a look at my blog. A few of you might know me from my other blog, Kohl Eyed Me. I’ve started this new space not to mess things up there and solely post food and recipes here.
Here’s my story.
A small town girl, now in a
big small city, married, far from naive and too honest for her own good. The word ‘now’ implies, I move around the country every few years, thanks to my husband’s job.
Three years ago, I started blogging to record the recipes I tried in my kitchen. I was someone who hated cooking and irrespective of the gender and age, and where I hail from, I never had the faintest idea to actually cook something. Well, that’s solely because my parents are amazing at this art and I never felt the need.
The Big Question-WHY???
Now that I am married (yay, me!!) and my hubby is a complete foodie,(just like me), I thought why not give it a try. …Married life has taught me that it is one of the best feelings in the world when your hubby gives you that warm smile after he tastes your food. Wooow, that feeling of satisfaction….it’s marvelous!
It was so accidental when I finally decided to do some real cooking. I watched the Oscar nominated movie “Julie and Julia”, where the actress tries recipes from the famous cookbook by Julia Child – cover to cover and blogs all her culinary mishaps and adventures. I tried to get an awesome cookbook as well. But never got one that actually blew my mind away. You are free to suggest….
The catalyst to my vocation is- I’ve learned from Mom that “the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach“…..
I have taken recipes from all the cookery blogs in the Vast Wide Web and also from many magazines and cook books. But all the posts are tried, tested and tasted by my dear ones(usually my husband).
And the writes are original; it comes straight from my heart.
So, please feel free to give credit to my posts, after all, I know you are gracious and refined.

This space is for you. Yes, you dear soon-to-be bride or newly-wed who has already messed up their scullery like me. I was overjoyed when on my Wedding day, my Mom gifted me with 5 ledger books full of cut-out recipes from the magazines she had carefully kept safe all these years. This space is something like that! You can visit this space to know the basic things to be taken care of while you cook. ..or any day-to-day dish you prepare at home. …
New to this space? Here are a few dishes that made my hubby spellbound. Needless to say that he devoured the entire thing and the bowl was licked clean!!!
