It's been a long, long while since I've penned down something here! Loss of a dear one, a downward spiral in my career, a broken heart, betrayals, loss of hope and love in life...you name it, I had gone through each and every single thing. But I'm back... as they say, may be with a bang! Lets hope for the very best.

So, here's presenting to you- Ginger Chicken, straight from the Tomato house 🙂

    GingerChicken1

    Ingredients:

    Boneless chicken (cubed)- 700gms

    Onion- 1, finely chopped

Ginger- a big piece, finely chopped

    Spring onion (green)- finely chopped

    Soya sauce- 1tsp

    Tomato sauce- 1tsp

    Chilly sauce- 1tsp

    Oil- 1tbsp

    Corn flour- 1tsp

    Chicken stock or water- 1cup

    For the batter:

Egg- 1, Corn flour- 3tsp, APF- 2tsp, Ginger paste- 1tsp, Salt

    Oil for frying

    Method:

Make batter, dip the chicken pieces in them, fry in hot oil and keep aside.

In a pan, add a tablespoon of oil. Add ginger, onion and half of the spring onion greens. Saute.

Add sauces and heat in high flame for a minute.

Add the fried chicken pieces, salt and mix well.

Mix cornflour in chicken stock and add to the pan.

When it thickens, remove from fire.

Serve hot garnished with spring onion greens.

    Chef says:

After you fry the chicken, HIDE it from children or your hubby. Cos' by the time your sauce is ready the chicken pieces shall be vanished into thin air. 🙂
