This is going to be a quick, simple and healthy recipe and is for all the Drumstick lovers like P!  And is one of the easiest ways to make your kid go gaga over the vegetable!

    Drumstick Fry2

    Ingredients:

    2 drumsticks
    2 tea spns coriander powder
    1 tea snp chilli powder
    ½ tea spn turmeric powder
    Pinch of asafoetida
    8-9 leaves curry leaves
    1 teaspoon mustard seeds
    Oil
    Salt

    Method:

Peal the drumsticks and cut in 2" size.

Cook them in a pinch of salt for about 10 minutes. Remove and discard the water.

In a pan, heat oil. Add mustard seeds and curry leaves. Allow them to splutter. Add asafoetida and the remaining spices along with salt. Fry for about 2 mins on low flame.

Add the cooked drumsticks to fried spices and saute for another 5 mins, mixing the ingredients well in the process. The spices will now be evenly coated to the drumsticks.

Serve hot with rice as a side-dish.

In the United States, "drumsticks" are turkey legs. I've never seen a drumstick vegetable. I'd have to look for the vegetable in a speciality store.

These look and sound delicious! I'm pretty sure I've never seen them in the grocery store here in Vancouver, but maybe I just need to look a bit more carefully.
