Who doesn’t like a side of yam stir fry with rice and rasam? That’s comfort food with all the added nutrients of yam!
There are days when I don’t make elaborate lunch with many side-dishes and accompaniments. Sometimes, it is just Rasam, rice and a potato stir fry. That’s comfort food for me! I am sure the husband agrees too (he may scramble an egg as well). If you are too worried about having potatoes all the time, try preparing a stir fry with Elephant foot Yam.
There are many health benefits for Yam for it is rich in Omega3 and improves good cholesterol. It also helps in maintaining the estrogen levels in women. Yam is best consumed in summers as it has considered a cooling food.
