This is an easy pudding recipe made with stewed apples on a custard base. Moreover, this is an egg-less, no-bake and few-ingredient dessert.
I have fond memories associated with Apple Pudding. The first time I tasted this dish was when I was a teen. I was playing with my friends in the block and my neighbor aunt called us over. Ha! The taste still lingers in my mouth. She was my go-to person whenever I needed to whip up some quick recipes, especially for tea. I used to envy my friend whenever he got us some snacks or desserts in the form of cakes, cookies or fritters. Fond memories, I say!
There are many versions of apple pudding recipes. But this one is how my aunt makes, back in Kerala. The best part is the perfect duo- Apple and Cinnamon! Boy, Oh, boy! It melts in your mouth.
This is how my husband prefers to eat this pudding- after setting completely. I love it a little gooey.

Just a thought if you do not like apples you are welcome to substitute any other fruit, my guess is, pears would be the perfect one. In face you can make a multi-layered multi- fruit version of this.. just let your imagination go wild.
