We've slogged through almost an entire year and 2018 is coming to an end. A month more to go, when I look back, I haven't ticked off most of my New Year Resolutions. Okay, so I don't believe in the 'Resolutions are meant to be Broken' kinda philosophy. The list-lover that I am, it gives me immense joy when I tick things off my 'any' list.

About 18 months ago, I was on a big blogging break. I was moving houses (thanks to the soldier husband's posting), there was hardly any mobile network or internet connectivity, the accommodation not being ready and all that which comes as a package with Army postings were trailed around. I had a lot of time in hand and one day, I had this crazy idea.

It was crazy, not because I didn't know anything about it, but because I was seriously thinking of switching careers and blogging was to be sidelined as a hobby. However, even after a few months, that ridiculously lunatic idea was on the back of my head and it kept pestering me.

One fine day, I gathered my wits and all my guts and proclaimed this proposal to my better half. To my surprise, he laughed it off. That was so unlike him because usually if I drag him to commit a murder at the middle of the night, he always fostered it. Another few months went by and I was still trying to find out more on how to go about with this 'idea', the how's and why's, the pros and cons and basically, it was like window shopping. But then I went home and discussed it with my Dad. The next thing I know is a Tripod being gifted and me standing there with mouth gapped open.

Nine months later, one fine afternoon, I decided to put the Tripod to use. Yes, it took me nine freaking months to gather courage again. I showed what I did to my husband. Oh, you had to see his face! He was pleasantly surprised. Now, that's when I knew I should do this more.

Things began falling in place when a great blogging community which I am part of - Blogchatter announced their privileged Blogchatter Projects campaign. I pitched in with my idea and was pleasantly surprised when it got selected.

Without further ado, here's the thing! Ah! Drumrolls, please!!

I am so so glad that you finally did this, Shalini! I often wondered why you didn't share your recipes on YouTube!

Your dad gave you the perfect gift and the push you needed to move in this new direction, isn't it? Well, daddies are like that only---all sweet and mushy on the inside and strict and serious on the outside! 😛

I saw the video and loved it! Wish you the bestest, dear, for this new venture!
